I doubt a little SF syrup is going to hurt ya. Eventually, I will cut out the "fake" maple syrup from my diet. I've slowly started to use less. I used to use 1/4 cup, now it's just 1/8 cup. It's all about progress, right? :)

Bev,

I buy my sugar-free maple syrup from Stop & Shop. I've also seen it at Shaws too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-15306188073300242292008-03-13T19:29:00.000-04:002008-03-13T19:29:00.000-04:00Where do you get sugar free maple syrup? i've lo...Where do you get sugar free maple syrup? i've looked but no luckAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-41842792709124854982008-03-13T14:49:00.000-04:002008-03-13T14:49:00.000-04:00I love your blog too! Your habits resemble mine and I like how you incorporate meeting friends for drinks or dinner every now and again (I mean, that's real life right?). Your blog is very articulate, "real" and you seem to be achieving a great healthy balance in life. Kudos to you & thanks for the blog!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-91705293891498753882008-03-13T11:46:00.001-04:002008-03-13T11:46:00.001-04:00Love the blog! I was just wondering though: you said you want to give up artificial sugars and ingredients but sugar free syrup is chock full of this. Just curious! I'm trying to do the same but I still find myself finishing off some of the products in my pantry (like lower sugar quaker apple cinnaom oatmeal)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-19033495371163343132008-03-13T11:46:00.000-04:002008-03-13T11:46:00.000-04:00Love the blog! If you want to mix it up a little, you could try doing intervals on the elliptical or when walking or on your weekend run. (I love doing "telephone pole intervals!" You base your intervals off how often you pass a telephone pole... so I would jog between 2 poles then sprint to the 3rd, then repeat for the rest of my run. It's a nice change.)

Jill,

Here's the link to Kath's Oatmeal Pancake recipe: http://www.katheats.com/?page_id=289
Sometimes I add canned pumpkin to the recipe-- about 1/4 cup.

I first learned about free weights in high school when I was on the track team. Just last year though, I signed up for a new gym that offered 2 free sessions with a personal trainer. The trainer taught me a number of new things about lifting and balance (and the importance of stretching, which I skip a lot! So bad!) Scheduling a session with a trainer would be a good way to learn about free weights.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-19675812741233595392008-03-13T11:06:00.000-04:002008-03-13T11:06:00.000-04:00Two questions.First, you pancakes look so good! I have 2 kids and the only time I have to workout is after 7pm. We own an elipitcal trainer, so I do that 3 nights a week for 45 minutes with about 30 min. of strength training. On the weekends, if the weather permits, I do 3.2 mile run. At times I do walk during my 1 hour lunch break. I just wanted to make sure that I overloading on the same thing. Hope you know what I mean. Something must be working, I have gone from a size 14 to a size 6 and below my first pregnancy weight. Thanks for all your help and great tips!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-12416479629336401002008-03-13T10:51:00.000-04:002008-03-13T10:51:00.000-04:00Thanks. Here's a link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Power-Yoga-Total-Body-Workout/dp/B0000A2ZQE
It's a little "spiritual" in the beginning and at the end, but the rest of the time, you are constantly moving and changing positions. Yum. :-)

When you go yoga at home, do you use a workout video? I'm looking for a good at-home yoga video, but the selections I've tried so far have either been too easy or too, um, spiritual, I guess. I just want a good, challenging yoga workout that will leave me feeling strong as well as relaxed by the end. Any suggestions?Kristen @ frostingandfroth.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02760050523733355264noreply@blogger.com
