I had a bunch of people over last summer for a party. I was making these watermelon margaritas for everyone and the ice just wouldn't crush in the blender. So I got the bright idea to use a wooden spoon to move things around. Well apparently I pushed the spoon too far down because it was destroyed in a split second with teeny tiny wooden bits every where. I had to throw away all that tequila. :(

sweets&sweats.wordpress.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-27182481168387830492008-08-16T10:18:00.000-04:002008-08-16T10:18:00.000-04:00Your cheesy baked eggplant looks so good, even as ...Your cheesy baked eggplant looks so good, even as left overs. Do you know if they are sold at Stop&Shop? I can look online if you don't know.

One of my emvarassing food stories involves my first Pumpkin Loaf. I have no idea what happened, but it rose so high that it spilled over the side. Halfway through baking, I had to take it out and transfer to a new pan. The thing took like 3 hours to bake! I figure it would be one of those chances to fully change your identity.

As for embarrassing stories, I think it would have to be the first time I ever really "cooked." I mean I baked, but cooking is a different animal. It was for my boyfriend my sophomore year of college, and I thought it would be fun to make salmon. I had my Joy of Cooking cookbook all set out, and a little while into cooking, everything was going fine, we were like, "What is burning?" Well, it was the cover of the Joy of Cooking. I had it open, over a burner. I still have the cookbook, perfectly burnt with the rings of the burner on the cover. It's my first cooking "scar."Quinnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04588184169209020719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-23732332321026283792008-08-15T11:53:00.000-04:002008-08-15T11:53:00.000-04:00Haha! The separation doesn't happen because of the palm oil in the Barney Butter.

From the BB website:

What is palm oil and why is it an ingredient in Barney Butter?
Palm oil is a non-hydrogenated, healthy alternative for preventing oil separation in foods. Palm oil comes from the fruit of the palm and has a balanced fatty acid composition and is cholesterol free. It is easily digested, absorbed, and available for energy by the body unlike it's synthetic counterpart: partially hydrogenated oil, or trans fat.Tinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02318548652327491659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-77054426000772410682008-08-15T11:19:00.000-04:002008-08-15T11:19:00.000-04:00OMG I love your oatmeal 'mug'! One being that I tried to make bread and it turned into a dense, mcnasty blog of Y.U.C.K. Ever since then, I have been so off-put by bread, believe it or not, and this was well over six months ago, too!

Anyways, I think that the Starbucks peeps, do those name things to make their job more enjoyable! Heck, I sure would! My friend Cristin and I were at one and they spelled her name like so...C-A-R-Y-S-T-E-H-N. However, I do have to always spell it out for them like 5 times, so I guess that's just as bad.. haha! Maybe I should just make up a secret name like "Jane" that I just use for starbucks runs. As for my embarassing cooking story, I was making a grilled cheese sandwich for my best friend and she wanted it with american cheese. However, because I was trying to watch the season finale of the Bachelorette (my secret obsession of a show) I accidentally left the plastic wrapper on the cheese! When she bit into her sandwich and pulled out a piece of plastic with her teeth, well you can say I was beyond mortified. I guess you could say my excuse was I am gluten and dairy intolerant, but seriously, how oblivious can one be!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-37078314267590738402008-08-15T11:13:00.000-04:002008-08-15T11:13:00.000-04:00YAY for the name TRINA...I just think its funny be...YAY for the name TRINA...I just think its funny because I get TINA all the time!

Awesome on the individual packets of almond butterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8856054621346056507.post-60443402918737066332008-08-15T11:10:00.000-04:002008-08-15T11:10:00.000-04:00tonijo,I'm not sure what keeps it from separating....tonijo,

I'm not sure what keeps it from separating.
