I didn't think this could happen, but I was feeling burnt-out on breakfast grains (oats, bulgar, etc.) this morning. Usually, I wake up and crave warm, carby goodness in a bowl, but today that feeling was completely gone. Instead, I had an egg over easy, a piece of toast with Olivio spread, and a couple of Pumpkin-Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Muffins.
I rounded-out breakfast with juicy orange slices.
This was a great breakfast-- delicious and satisfying! Two hours later, I am still feeling very full. Hopefully, it holds me over another 2-3 hours.
TGIF! I'm so happy that it is Friday! I can't wait to relax this evening at home.

Ah yes, even creatures-of-habit like me can suffer from "food burn-outs," and need a change - your new breakfast looks marvelous!
TGIF!
your egg looks so perfect! I can never make eggs look good!
I just saw on kath's site that you are having a bbq for ur rehearsal dinner... That is EXACTLY what I want for mine next summer.. but I can't figure out where to have it? Are you renting a space somewhere or having it at someone's house? We will have about 80 people because all my fiance's family has to be invited as they are coming from philly! any tips? or suggestions?
looks like a yummy change in the breakfast rotation! I'm loving the looks of those muffins, mmmm! TGIF, enjoy your friday!
I love the combo of pumpkin and chocolate chip! If only I could find some pumpkin at the grocery store!
Irbas,
We are having our rehearsal dinner BBQ at Mal's parents' house (in the backyard) with about 60 guests. We're trying to do everything budget (because we are paying for the majority of the wedding), and had planned to cook all the food at it ourselves (burgers, hot dogs, etc.), but it turned out to be a big hassle, so now we are just having it catered by a company that specializes in BBQ foods and that will supply all of the dishes, napkins, utensils, etc.
Hey! I need to make those muffins they look awesome! Hope that you have a good weekend!
I made the muffins this morning and they were SO GOOD...I actually halved the recipe and it made three large "scones" (just put the batter on a cookie sheet instead). Nothing like warm, melty chocolate for breakfast!
Eggs are my top choice for breakfast actually! That's what I ate every morning when I lost my weight! Unfortunately I now need to do things for bfast that I can make at work.
We did a BBQ for our wedding rehearsal too! We had someone do a pig roast and cater it in - sounds gross but it's a HUGE deal in Wisconsin! And then we did all the traditional sides, etc.
