I just got back from a lunch meeting with a number of Harvard faculty members, deans, and administrators. With that said, I hope you guys understand why I didn't whip-out my camera and take photos of my Asian Chicken Salad. Obviously, this would be an extremely awkward interruption. However, I did not want to disappoint, so I found an image similar to my lunch as a stand in. My Asian Chicken Salad included arugula, snap peas, red peppers, mandarin oranges, almond slices, shredded carrots, crunchy wantons, and marinated chicken. While I would have much rather enjoyed my salad on a mountain top like in the photo, my lunch was still pretty darn delicious in a windowless conference room.
On my way out of the meeting, I grabbed half of a chocolate-chocolate chip cookie. It had huge chocolate chunks in it!
My breakfast this morning did not hold me over until lunch at all! My stomach was seriously grumbling by 10:00! I ate a big slice of the cranberry nut loaf that I made for my office and drank a lot of water with with hopes that I would make it to my 12:30 lunch meeting. Unfortunately, the second piece of bread did nothing, and I was still hungry. Instead of another piece of bread, I snacked on a banana to hold me over.

i always have that problem with traditional sweet breads like banana bread and such. unless i make one with higher fiber content using whole wheat flour or flax or something like that, i might as well have not even eaten b/c my stomach will be growling!
Haha yes, definitely a good move NOT taking photographs in that particular meeting ;0)
Ahh, sorry that the sweetbread didn't hold you over this morning; but good thinking with the banana, to tame your appetite!
Love the new music links!
Cute idea with the stand-in. Any photo is better than no photo ;)
good call for avoiding the photograph :)
the salad looks fantastic! hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
Hi Tina!
I just started reading your Blog and LOVE it! I'm a fitness/health junkie myself and am now starting to study for the ACE Personal Trainer certification. I really like the idea of helping others become healthier. Keep up the good work!
